Rebuilding of brick pillars following a vehicle incident
Project Details
These pillars welcome visitors to our client's Prince Edward County home. One of the original pillars was completely destroyed due to a car sliding off the road and hitting the pillar. Many of the clay bricks were not salvageable to use in rebuilding the pillar. Therefore, the other matching pillar was removed, along with the two original Asian Dragon Statues. Remarkably, these very rare and expensive marble statues were not damaged in the accident!
We reconstructed the pillars to their original size using a new Segmental Concrete Block with the addition of a banding of the old existing clay brick to still tie the new pillars into the brick work on the house.
